7 days to go...okay now I'm nervous

Chase and I have seven days until our wedding. I'm slowly finishing up our enormous list of things to do, and I'm getting nervous. I'm really scared that I will screw up my vows or start crying uncontrollably during the ceremony. I wouldn't say I have cold feet, because I know that this is what I want to do, but I'm definitely nervous that something bad is going to happen.

8 days...

Eight days. Yup, that's right. Just a little over a week and I'll be married to the man of my dreams. I just need to focus on that instead of my mother driving me insane. Is it awful to say that I'll be glad when this wedding is over? I mean, I'm glad to be getting married, but my mother has took this whole thing and blown in way out of proportion. I really wanted to just go to the courthouse, but Chase and I both knew that my mother would be uber-pissed. Oh well, I'm sure everything will be gorgeous.

9 days to go....

Chase and I have nine days until our wedding. Everything is pretty much done. I have a lot of things to do the next few days. I'm starting to get really nervous. I know this is what I want to do, but I'm scared that my parents are going to cause a big scene. They are good at that kinda thing. Grr.

Our officiant finally contacted Chase yesterday, so I'm a little more relieved. He is meeting with us on Monday at 4:00.

Things To Do:

  • Clean the bathroom
  • Do laundry
  • Take stuff to Goodwill
  • Clean out the cars
  • Put new sheets on our bed
  • Get marriage license
  • Pay our electric bill
  • Meet with Officiant
  • Get haircuts
  • Buy groomsmen gifts
  • Attach charms to bridesmaid bouquets
  • Pick up Chase's tux
  • Set up tables at reception site
  • Decorate ceremony/reception site
  • Buy food for luau party.

Wow, I need to get started!

10 days...

I have ten days to go until Chase and I get married. I'm so excited, but nervous at the same time. It's amazing how quick it has gotten here. I feel like it has just crept up on me.

So, it's three in the morning, and my little one is awake. How?!! I put him to bed at about nine and he fell asleep. He woke up about ten minutes ago, and I'm guessing that he is going to be up for awhile. He woke up and said, "Mommy, I want some chips." So, of course, I gave him some. He must have just woken up because he was hungry.

I have a ton of stuff that I need to get done the next few days. Here's my list:

  • Apply for a marriage license.
  • Turn in my job applications.
  • Vacuum
  • Shampoo Carpets
  • Mop Floors
  • Take boxes to Goodwill
  • Pack Chad's bag to go to Grandma's

I'm thinking that later, if it's nice out, I might take Chad to the pool. He's been wanting to go for awhile, and I'm sure that it'll probably wear him out.

fireworks

So here I am, sitting at home by myself, listening to the loud boom of the fireworks being set off tonight. All of the fireworks shows were rained out last night due to the rain. I'm going to be honest here and say that I can't wait for them to be over! It is impossible to get any sleep when everyone around me is setting off fireworks and blowing things up. I wouldn't mind it so much if they would only do it on one night; but, three nights in a row....c'mon!

I'm so glad that Chase has tomorrow and Tuesday off from work. I love it that he has set days off. It just kinda stinks that it's not on Saturdays and Sundays. Oh well. I'll live.

My Mom and Dad decided they wanted Chad to stay over, so tonight, I'm having some much-needed "me time."
I'm enjoying a nice mixed drink, and watching episodes of WeTV's "Snapped" , that I have recorded on the DVR. I know, it's weird that I get into this stuff, but hey, it's what I like. Chase has actually gotten to where he will watch it with me.

On a happier note, I received a new catalog from Oriental Trading Company in the mail yesterday. It's the new scrap-booking stuff! I'm so excited. I love to scrap-book. I just never have time to do it!

So, I'm thinking the rest of the night, I'm going to enjoy some of my mixed drinks, watch some Army Wives, and scrap-book a little. Sounds fun, right?

Well, to all of my fellow bloggers out there....Goodnight!

an introduction

Well, here I am. This is another attempt to jump on the blogging bandwagon. In the past, I would start a blog, then have trouble finding inspiration. I think I can handle this now. I guess I should start with a little information about myself; an introduction as you may call it...

My name's Haley. I am 22 years-old, and I live in Indiana. I've always lived in Indiana, and someday I would like to move out of this state. Unfortunately, it's not in the cards right now. I moved out of my parent's house in March of this year, and into an apartment with my (at the time) boyfriend, Chase, and my two-year-old son, Chad.

The day after my birthday, Chase proposed, and we are getting married on July 18, 2009. I am so happy and excited to be marrying the love of my life. I'm also very excited to share some of our most cherished memories on this blog.

Right now, I'm a stay-at-home-mom, but will be returning to the workforce after the wedding is over. In April, I passed my Certified Nurse Assistant exam, and can't wait to go back to work.

In the spring, I plan on going back to school to pursue a degree in Health-Care Administration.
